Over the past 15 years, I’ve faced many challenges. But one challenge presented itself every day. While having my morning coffee or going through a new brief I’m faced with the everlasting question – How do I do something different? This question is a friend now. It has allowed me to turn every brief into a story, every simple line into a quote and ever word into a seed of inspiration. Whatever the brief asks for, I’m ready. Advertising has been a beautiful journey so far with over 400 million people listening to me across the Arab world.
After graduating with a degree in Advertising at Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus, I continued my education in back streets of the Arab world. I updated my knowledge on the web and was inspired by poetry, songs, stories along with dreams and jokes. This allows me to be an effective communicator.
I am a novelist, and can write jingles, airbrush, draw various styles of illustrations and craft Arabic calligraphy.
Leading a team of Arabic copywriters to create memorable ads for global brands at one of the biggest advertising agencies in the region.
Provided all creative Arabic content plus radio spots for Hayat FM.
In addition to creating ads clients buy and consumers love, one of my career highlights was introducing world-famous cartoons to Arab audiences. I have translated into Arabic “Ben 10 – Ultimate Alien,” “Story Train,” “Barbie” and “Gumball”; and composed songs for Barbie and the Cartoon Network. I also achieved my dream of Arabizing an entire movie (for Barbie).
Writing Arabic copy was just one facet of my JWT days. I honed my ad skills creating and even spearheading 360º campaigns encompassing ATL and BTL projects. And as a senior creative, I supervised video editing sessions as well as radio commercials recordings in several dialects; was a key member of concept teams for major campaigns; and actively participated in TVC and photo shoots.
